Speech Training
Focusing on the practices of good speech and articulation through the areas of poetry, prose, drama and reading aloud, this programme offers a clear understanding and appreciation for development of clear and confident speech. The module consists of twelve grades beginning with preliminary and primary grades for new and younger students. Public Speaking This programme focuses on the art of public speaking and the skills required in the effective delivery of a prepared speech of the student's own choice. The minimum age for formal engagement in this course is twelve years of age, however informal preparation from a young age allows students to practice and refine the skills of good speech and clear articulation . Effective Communication Primarily focused on the development of confident interview and conversational skills, students are expected to research and compile a brief project on a chosen subject, which they will present. Promoting positive interview techniques, this course provides students with the fundamental skills for future success in interview and oral examination settings. Dramatic Work Concentrating on dramatic art through dramatic solos and mime, this programme enhances development in facial expression, character building and body movement, while also gaining an appreciation and understanding of the utilisation of dramatic stage directions and side notes. |
