The Leonard School of Speech, Drama & Communication boasts thirty years of experience, providing speech drama & communication training for individuals and groups of all ages and abilities. Based in Humbert Street Ballina Co Mayo, director and tutor Maureen Leonard Dodd holds Associate & Licentiate Teaching Diplomas from both the London College of Music & Drama and the Leinster School of Music & Drama in conjunction with assuming a role as senior examiner with the Leinster School. In addition to her speech, drama & communication tutoring, Maureen is a qualified Montessori teacher and Education Mentor for St Nicholas Montessori Teachers Association of Ireland, responsible for the coordination and delivery of continual professional development training in the West and North-West.
Holding regular weekly classes in Ballina and in outreach centers throughout North Mayo and Sligo, The Leonard School also offers tailored training for schools, community centers and corporate groups in the region. Striving to optimize the benefits of delivered training, we provide a range of modules including, public speaking, presentations skills, interview preparation and voice training & drama to suit individual or corporate needs, building confidence while simultaneously perfecting the art of communication.
